Gooding County Deputy hit in three vehicle crash on Highway 46

GOODING, Idaho (CBS 2) —

A Gooding County Deputy was involved in a three vehicle crash on Highway 46, two miles south of Gooding, Friday night.

At 7:44 p.m., a teen was in their car, waiting to turn left into a home's driveway in the southbound lane of Highway 46.

Another driver was driving in the southbound lane and rear-ended the car waiting to turn, kept driving, and crashed into a Gooding County Deputy's vehicle in the opposite lane.

The teen was taken to North Canyon Medical Center in Gooding. The driver who started the crash was take there as well, but they were driven there in a patrol car.

The Gooding Deputy wasn't injured.

The highway was completely blocked for one hour and 45 minutes.

Alcohol was involved in the crash.
